We are super excited to welcome Abbie Kamin, former Texas House of Representatives Committee Director/Clerk, as our primary speaker in February! Abbie will give us the rundown on how bills move through the legislature, what the deal is with killing bills, and generally what YOU need to know about how things work at the Lege. Then we’ll break out into small groups to work on finding bills that affect the issues that matter most to you, where those bills are in the system, who you need to talk to about them, and what to say, all with the help of some experts! If you can bring a smartphone, tablet, or laptop, that will give you a more hands-on experience.
